Erica Sander

M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Erica Sander is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist living in New York City.  Erica completed her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at CUNY-Hunter College and received her undergraduate degree with honors for Communication Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and received a New York State license as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).  


Erica’s main goal is to help children communicate more effectively with their world and optimize their personal growth and development.  Through training in the Floortime model, Erica prides herself as a relationship-based therapist and emphasizes the importance of engagement, attention and motivation in all of her sessions.  These principles are the foundation to her interactions with parents and family members through structured parent coaching programs aimed to help facilitate their children’s communication skills.  In addition, she is a PROMPT Advanced Bridging trained therapist and trained through the IAOM in treating Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders.  These trainings have enabled Erica to work effectively with those children with speech sounds disorders, feeding concerns and oral-motor development deficits.  She has spent her career working in a myriad of different clinical settings including schools, early intervention and home-base therapy which has provided her the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with a variety of speech and language disorders.
